Evening all,

Yes, this will be the first of many posts about beer.

Pure and simple.

No, we're not going to wax lyrical about the hops and the malts and the yeasts and all that crap, because let's face it, we couldn't care less about that, and I'm sure you couldn't care less either. All you want to know is whether or not a beer tastes good or not.

Now this is going to be OUR opinion as to whether or not the beer in question tastes any good. We are all going to sit around on a regular basis and taste certain beers, and decide how good it is on very simple grounds... how long could we drink it for before we changed to a different beer or even alcoholic beverage. This will be a very simple system for everyone to read

a) Straight away - the beer is crap so we'll change to something else
b) After a couple of pints - it's not a bad beer, but there is something about it (which we will be stating) that we don't like, so we're moving on
c) Several pints - we'll be sick of the flavour, and feel like a change
d) All night - a fantastic drop that we could sit on all night

Now, there are a few things that you need to know.
1) We are all pub workers, so we do know our beer and will feel obliged to print information like the hops type and alcohol content, etc, etc. This is because some people do want to know, and other people are allergic, so this could be an influencing factor for them.
2) We are mostly guys, so the sweet beers are less likely to appeal. However, we have recruited some girls to help us out. We'll introduce you to them later
3) We are in Western Australia, so our choices are limited by the pubs and bottleshops about the place.

HOWEVER, we are not above people sending us beer to taste. If you live overseas or interstate and want to send us beer, we will give you a postal address that you will be able to send it to. We don't care who sends it to us, whether it be individuals or distributors... hey, if Heineken or Stella or Budweiser or whoever want to send beer our way, that's great. But if you want to send us a couple of beers from your local brewery, then go for it.

FINALLY, we don't need people hunting around the state trying to find out who we are. This is for fun and information. If you disagree with it, fine, leave a comment about it. But for goodness sakes, grow up and get a real life. Besides, there's more than enough people to swap around anyway.

Cheers,

The Beer Judges
